The original inn was taken over in 1949 by Franz and Anna Reiter, and has been in the family ever since. In 1977, the guest house was completed, at which time the business comprised 28 beds in both houses.
From 1976, it was Walter and Anni Reiter who led the house forward. In 1989, the addition to the rear of the inn, with a lounge for guests, sauna, WC facilities and terrace, was completed. Strategically, this was a very important step, propelling development forward.
This was followed by numerous small investments and improvements.
Since 2008, the inn has been run by Walter Reiter Jr.
2008 was also the year of the big remodeling, including the entire accommodation area of the main building. A beautiful sauna facility was also integrated into the building.
Since our wedding on 01.10.2011, we, Barbara and Walter Reiter, have been leading Reiters Wohlfühlhotel towards the future, with heart & soul, and great support from our whole family. A true family business that is a source of much joy, for guests and hosts alike.
In spring 2014, we remodeled and renovated Restaurant s`Gwölb“ for our guests. Styrian loden fabrics and Styrian oak both took their rightful place within these venerable walls, exuding a very special and comfortable atmosphere.
Yet another contribution to the general warm ambiance at the Reiter.
The interior decor now enhances the sense of a "small, feel-good hotel", with deep traditional and local roots.
Spring 2015 saw the last major step forward for the time being, further underscoring the quality offered at the Reiter:
We linked our two buildings by means of a free-floating walkway, allowing them to grow together, just as they should, and making the short walk across the courtyard a thing of the past.
In addition, we added five more rooms for our guests, with great views and amenities. We also expanded the relaxation zone in our Wellness Area.
That said, we give you our promise that Reiters Wohlfühlhotel will remain the cozy home-away-from-home it has always been.
But we will continue to be innovative and make every effort to increase the comfort of our guests. After all, it is your vacation!
